Welcome to my Portfolio. I’m Marcus Stones, BA Honours Animation and illustration teacher

Working in the creative arts my entire adult life, I have worked as a musician, director and most recently a graphic designer and illustrator. Confident in 2D and 3D animation; using tools including Maya, Photoshop and After-Effects, Dreams and ToonBoom, I have produced a variety of media for satisfied clients in a range of industries.

My influences primarily stem from a love for music, where I perform and write my own songs. I actively incorporate ’the feeling of sound’ into my work and using that to tell a story for each piece. Working in this industry has provided skills in working with fluidity, collaboration, pitching and applying feedback.

Graduating university in my early thirties, I’m in a unique position to use my life-experience to work within an expert team of creative peers to contribute too and complete large creative projects.
